Dates for your diary in 2012 All the family and staff hope that you are having a good winter and are now looking forward to the longer days and planning some outings. We start our year of special events with a wine tasting on Sunday February 5th 2012. John Shine is hosting this lunch time event again for us and the wines are all from the Concha y Toro of Chile. The price is £55.00 per person. If you wish to stay with us on the Saturday or Sunday night the rate will be £85.00 per person per night inclusive of room, full English breakfast and any two course from the menu. Then the next event is Valentine’s night. Dinner will be £48.00 per person. If you are able to stay that night the rate for the room, full English breakfast and VAT, will be £75.00 per person. Any extra nights before or after the 14th February will be £115.00 per person inclusive of dinner, room, full English breakfast and VAT. As always, we will be serving lunches on Mother’s Day Sunday 18th March and Easter Sunday 8th April. Both lunches will be £38.50 This year our Spring Brunch will be on Sunday May 6th and not the Monday as it has been in the past. The cost will be £29.00 per person. We have been promised that the new Relais & Chateau cookery book will be with us in January but we are not taking any chances. We will be launching the book on Sunday 22nd April with a lunch. Once again, Barry will be preparing the recipes from his pages. The price will be £90.00 per couple including a copy of the book and £55.00 including a book for individuals. Our usual post lunch over night rate of £85.00 will also apply. On Sunday July 1st our last planned event is an excuse for us all to have some fun. We moved to Farlam in 1975 and we are going to re-create the style of meals that we enjoyed then. This will be a three course luncheon with a choice of three at each course as we cannot decide on just one dish. The cost will be £37.50 per person. Once again the £85.00 rate will apply over night. As always, during the year if you would like to organise a celebration here at Farlam we would be delighted to help. We serve dinner every night of the week and will open the restaurant at lunch time for pre-booked parties of 10 or more. With 24 hours notice we will serve full afternoon tea at £20.00 per person or a full English breakfast at £20.00 per person. We also have three rooms that are licensed to hold civil ceremonies. With the combination of the house and garden Farlam is the ideal location for a wedding of up to 40 people. Please do ask if you would like any more details.
