We have now finished all of our Spring events for another year and thank you to everyone who has asked for the dates for the Autumn.

Our Autumn Brunch will be of Sunday October 27th and the Christmas Tea will be on Sunday December 15th 2013. We hope to see you all then.

Just before last Christmas we managed to buy the old laundry in our garden. It was converted to a cottage in the early 1960s but has stood empty for about 20 years. As you can imagine getting back to a habitable state has been a major project! We thought the roof would be the biggest problem but a complete lack of working drains turned out to be the biggest headache. At least when the new trenches were being dug the cables for telephone and wifi have all been installed.

We have at last reached the stage where it is starting to look better each week and not even worse. We will soon be able to take some pictures which will hopefully inspire you to have a look rather than frighten you off.

When finished it will be a self catering cottage with two double/twin bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a good size sitting room with a multi fuel stove and a kitchen/diner. It will be available all year with a stay of 4 nights being the minimum let. When the hotel is open you will be very welcome to book in for breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner to save cooking.

As always if you have any celebrations that we can help with please do contact us and ask for one of the family and we will do our utmost to help. Farlam is a great party house but it is also a great place to relax and get away from it all. We never allow parties to spoil other guest’s time with us and make sure there is ample room for everyone to enjoy the house.
